COURTSPORTS GYM FLOOR MAINTENANCE
Upon completion of floor installation, the owners, attendants or individuals in charge are responsible for the upkeep of the building and are to see that the care and maintenance instructions of Courtsports Inc. and the flooring manufacturer are followed:
Once your floor is completed by Courtsports, it is important to implement an effective daily, weekly, and quarterly maintenance program. Good maintenance practices keep your wood floor looking its best while reducing the wear and abrasion to the surface of the floor. By following the techniques
listed below and using quality products, your floor will stay clean and attractive.
PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE
Place proper walk-of mats in doorways to keep out dirt and grit.
Install Bona Self-Adhesive Felt Pad floor protectors on tables and chairs used on the hardwood floor.
Avoid excess moisture from tracked in water, leaks, or over-maintenance such as wet mopping.
DAILY MAINTENANCE
Dry mop with a Bona Commercial Mop and a Dusting or Cleaning Pad to remove dirt, grit, or any other abrasive particles. DO NOT USE DUST MOP TREATMENTS. Replace or wash Dusting or Cleaning Pads as necessary.
Damp mop all spills or spots with a Bona Commercial Mop and Cleaning Pad dampened with Pacific Sport Clean Concentrate diluted at the 1:8 ratio.
PERIODIC MAINTENANCE
Dilute 1 part Pacific Sport Clean Concentrate to 8 parts water for tacking solution. Tack with a Bona Commercial Mop and Cleaning Pad. Be sure to rinse or wash Cleaning Pad as necessary. Continued use of a soiled Cleaning Pad will cause streaking.
Using a Buffer – Shoe marks and scuffs can be removed by using a white pad and buffer (150-175 rpm) with a (1:8) solution of Sport Clean. Lightly mist the floor with the solution as you buff. Periodically clean or replace the white pad. Continue use of soiled pads will cause streaking.
Using an Autoscrubber – if you choose to use an autoscrubber with white pads, dilute Pacific Sport Clean to the same 1:8 ratio and ensure machine is properly adjusted to remove all cleaner immediately. No moisture should remain on the floor. Wipe up any remaining moisture with a Bona
Commercial Mop and Cleaning Pad. EXCESS MOISTURE CAN DAMAGE THE WOOD. Make sure all residue from the white pad buffing/cleaning procedure is removed from the floor surface; immediately tack the surface with a Bona Commercial Mop and Cleaning Pad.
